I guess the co-CEOs aren’t the only ones that need to go.

…it’s really one of the worst things he could say. Basically, he’s saying that they had to keep Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis because nobody better would have dumb enough the job. Whether it’s true or not, it shows the guy has no idea how to talk to the press.
I have heard of putting your foot in your mouth, this is not something new to me. But putting your whole ass in your mouth, THAT’S new!
Also, aren’t there a whole lot of people at RIM with a kind of cocky attitude for a company that’s not doing too well lately?
The first step is realising there is a problem. When Apple was in the shit Steve stood up in front of the MacWorld crowd and spelled out the problems and how he intended to fix them.
How do these guys not get that BlackBerry is now an iPhone app? One of half a million. RIM needs to get the other 499,000 apps into their devices.
Imagine if Apple had not made iPhone, and were clinging to their iPod business like it had the same relevance as it did in 2006. Grim.
Seems like you can’t fix stupid.
