The U.S. Department of Justice approved on Monday several patent purchases and acquisitions, including a collection of Nortel’s intellectual property to be acquired by Apple, Microsoft, Research in Motion and others and Novell patents that Apple has purchased.
Google also got the nod for its purchase of Motorola Mobility.
Those Nortel patents should prove valuable for Apple, Microsoft, Research in Motion.
The purchase of Motorola should prove disastrous for Google.
So overall, I damn fine day for AAPL.
Poor poor Florian Mueller.
I’m seriously considering sending him an ergonomical keyboard so he doesn’t get carpal tunnel or some other form of RSI.
