Since when has Best Buy, the nation’s most well-known electronics retailer, become a player in the Apple rumors game?
We asked, and Best Buy answered: “The customer survey was a routine offer effectiveness survey conducted by one of Best Buy’s research partners. Any brand reference was hypothetical. The survey is no longer available,” Best Buy told us in a statement.
Apple would never do something like this. If I was to guess, I would say that a very worried TV manufacturer is trying to do a little bit of pre-emptive marketing and be ready for an Apple TV when and if it ships.
This was always going to be nonsense- the question is what’s up with that Globe & Mail article about Bell and Rogers testing “iTVs”. Any loopinsight on that?
Yes – it’s bogus. Apple would never let Canadians test their stuff. I used to work for Apple Canada and trust me – Apple USA doesn’t even know Apple Canada’s number. 🙂
