Sure. Pink Pearl erasers are still around. You can get them pretty much anywhere. But they’re not good erasers. They don’t pick up very well and will leave marks if they’re old. The art gum eraser is a much better (but messier) bet if you want to kick it old school.
Myself, I use a Staedtler Mars plastic eraser. It doesn’t have the character of these vintage erasers, but it gets the job done much better. nb: I’ll use a kneaded eraser if I’m working in charcoal or pastel and want to lighten things up.
I’m certainly not a kid anymore, but I had my fair share of Pink Pearls – don’t really use pencils much anymore, but when I do come across one, it does remind me of a simpler time…elementary school…:-)
Pink Pearls were always the best. I hated the Vitagum brand. It had a tendency to break into chunks.

Yup, we still use those erasers all the time. Can’t write an essay or take a test without one. But those ones aren’t very good, they leave marks. The best are those white plastic Hi-polymer ones. You’ll never even notice there was ever pencil there.
