Considering the high-priced Google engineer time spent working on Android along with the $12.5 billion spent on MMI, it’s pretty clear that Google has lost a ton of money so far.
One has to ask what is the point of extending to a new business if you’re just losing money. Mobile users are even spending more time and searching within apps than using the browser and general search.
