Much as I ever may have wanted to, I just can’t bring myself to hate David Lee.
The VH brothers really let the booze get the better of them, obviously. Both sound flat & uninspired.
As far as DLR goes: The lyrics are childish, and sounds like he wrote them while on a severe bender over a weekend while playing scrabble. And what’s with the stupid dancing? He looks like a senior citizen trying to relive his glory days of high school.
This is some truly horrible stuff from what was once my favorite band. I saw it coming with 1984, and was granted amnesty from DLR’s stupid lyrics and antics with Sammy Hagar. Unfortunately, the crap is back.
Chickenfoot sounds more like VH than VH does.
it’s okay. Checks all the boxes.
I never thought DLR would age better than EVH, but he looks pretty damn good for his age.
I hope this isn’t the best song on the album. DLR’s two tracks on the Greatest Hits album were much stronger.
It’s got to be Eddie’s alcohol intake.
Oh No. He’s a insufferable bastard. But he’s also professional showman who is really good at what he does.
I agree Jim. The Lyrics are weak and the Van Halen background vocals are not really there. Guess that was mostly Mike.
