The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that Microsoft and Nokia have toyed with the idea of making a bid for RIM, whose stock has plummeted (from about $59 to start the year to about $14 in mid-December) and whose management team has been under fire from investors. The Journal reports that the status of any talks between Microsoft, Nokia and RIM are unclear. Other scuttlebutt is that RIM executives have hit up Samsung and HTC about possible licensing deals.
I may buy RIM with the spare change in my car.
I wouldn’t waste your spare change. After all, you could get a great cup of coffee with it, and have more satisfaction after.
Hell, even a McFuckingSundae is worth more than RIM.
As I said in July (http://www.deuschl.net/matthias/2011/07/rim-am-abgrund-misstrauen-blindleistung-ineffektive-prozesse/ – last paragraph) I believe it would be a perfect move for google to buy rim. After all rim was part of the consortium winning the nortel patents and google lost out. I recall google being really pissed.
Now they just have to wait a little longer and then they’ll be the real winners in that nortel auction because rim gets so effing cheap.
RIM will survive as a patent holding or be bought for its patents.
