I’m not a Microsoft fan, but I wouldn’t count them out just yet. I think there are enough of those weird people who like Microsoft to write a fair amount of software that will run under Metro. Of course they’re coming from a position of not having an understanding of platform UI consistency so they’ll be playing from a position of weakness. But they will be out to prove something, so that might make up for it.

I’ve read on Gruber’s site that MS is going to limit ARM powered Win8 devices to Metro, which is a necessary and smart move.
I don’t think it’ll be as irrelevant as many people think. Hey, maybe these devices will become so popular that the sales guy on top will see reason.
