CNN:
Most of Gowalla’s employees, including founder Josh Williams, will move to Facebook’s offices in Palo Alto. The team will work on Facebook’s Timeline feature, which launched at this year’s F8 conference and is gradually rolling out to Facebook’s 800 million members.
Probably a great deal for Gowalla.
Sorry to see this. I’m kind of happy for the Gowalla team, but I miss what Gowalla was. I don’t know why they’ve so radically changed Gowalla over the last few months, but it became pretty much useless for me.
Ah well, I deleted my account, since I haven’t been using it for weeks anyway. I never even transferred the app to my 4S.
@mangochutney I know what you mean about the recent Gowalla changes. Funny I was thinking about ditching it this morning, and now I read this. Sigh.
