Walter Isaacson recounting a conversation with Steve Jobs about an Apple HDTV
“‘I’d like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use,’ he told me. ‘It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud.’ No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. ‘It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.’”
For those that had doubts that Apple was working on an HDTV. Of course, it doesn’t mean we’ll ever see one, but they worked on it.
Well, well, well…It is nice to know that the rumor had validity…but as you say, until we see it on a showroom floor…I hope this happens. Badly!!!

I remember this one time back in ’99, Steve came into the Starbucks I was working at (Stevens Creek Blvd, not that dive on Homestead Rd). I said hi and told him how happy I was with the Bondi Blue iMac I was using at the time. He said thanks, then got a faraway look in his eyes and said, “You know, I’d like to create an integrated cappuccino that’s completely easy to drink. The milk would seamlessly integrate with the espresso and the foam and iCloud.” What’s iCloud, I asked. “Never mind. It’ll be the best cappuccino you could imagine. I finally cracked it.”
