Talks have progressed because music industry insiders are said to be hopeful that a cloud streaming service, which would allow users to access their music from any Internet-connected device, will boost sagging music sales. This way, users would be able to listen to a large library of tracks without having to sync songs to various devices.
This is great news. I’m more interested in Apple’s implementation of music in the cloud than anything else.

Another service I hope works well for users, even though I probably won’t be one of them.
Most of the time i need access to my music is out in the prairie where i have no or limited internet access .. no way this would work for me.
And at home i already have all my music …
Wondering who is going to use this ..
People in urban locations who are constantly connected and have generous mobile data plans.
i.e., people who are making more money than I am.
Arn’t the US carriers going back to capped plans ?
I try not to think about these issues. US carriers are the teflon of tech.
I would use it to have my music on my MacBook at work. I have all my music on my computer at home, and I don’t want to bother with shuttling music back and forth. I am lazy that way.
