Apple on Tuesday released the 2009 version of “Star Trek” directed by J.J. Abrams. In addition, the company also posted the iTunes Extras for the movie.
The iTunes Extras for “Star Trek” feature two featurettes, international trailers, production art and poster galleries, and a secret code that unlocks additional content, according to the iTunes Store.
The iTunes Extras feature was released as part of iTunes 9 in September during the company’s iPod event. As noted above, the extras give you additional content that was typical only available on DVD or Blu-ray disks.
iTunes Extras are also available for other hit movies like “Twilight,” “Batman Begins,” “WALL-E.”
Of course with the holidays right around the corner, Apple makes it pretty easy to gift content from the iTunes Store, including movies and iTunes Extras. Makes for a convenient gift for movie lovers.

Chris is right 😛 And also I found out how to CHANGE the code, to whatever you want, on a mac, change the name “Star Trek – iTunes Extras.ite” to “Star Trek – iTunes Extras.zip”, then go to controllers>home open it up in TextEdit, click Command F and put in the first 3 letters of the REAL code, it should lead you to it, then change it ( “n42C02c942” ) to “Passhere” (“PassHere” as the password you want (You must put “”)) now you can keep your friends out of there! 😛 (Windows people, figure it out, I don’t have one that actually WORKS)
Oh and remember to change it BACK to .ite and to reset your iTunes cache (iTunes<Prefences<Advaced: Reset Cache)
For Windows: Open the folder called Star Trek – iTunes Extras.ite. Open the folder named Controllers, then right click on the file called home. Select Open With, then open in Wordpad. use Control F to find the password (“n42C02c942”) and change it to “PassHere” where PassHere is the new password. Keep the quotation marks.
