Apple Music libraries wiped after changing region settings to download Pokémon Go

Eager to get their hands on some Pokémon, iPhone users in the UK and other countries have resorted to altering the region settings on their devices and setting up new Apple ID accounts.

But an unexpected consequence of the workaround has left users angry: all of the data in Apple Music disappeared.

Three months ago, Steven Howse struggled to pay rent. Now, the 32-year-old developer is trying to keep his hit videogame running smoothly as it pulls in more than $100,000 in revenue daily.

This is a pretty impressive story. The game is as simple as can be, and is free.

Apple Watch gaming: State of the union

With the potential release of a second generation of Apple Watch and the requirement that Apple Watch apps be able to run independent of their paired iPhone overlords, this is an interesting time for Apple Watch game developers. New opportunities are definitely on the horizon.

A Zelda 30 year tribute

This site is a fan tribute to the original Zelda game. You can use arrow keys, AWSD keys to move around. Space bar is A. At first blush, a pretty fun experience, sound and all. If only I could figure out the sword part.

Firewatch, all the way through, a tiny no-spoilers review

Downloaded Firewatch yesterday, the new game from Campo Santo and Panic. I’ve long been a fan of Panic, thought I’d check it out, just take a quick look. Finished the whole thing in one sitting. Here’s my no-spoilers review.

How Microsoft plans to make the Xbox great again

Nintendo teases plans for smartphone app, follow-on games

Nintendo has introduced its long-awaited and highly anticipated first smartphone app, called Miitomo, but pushed back the release date to the spring of next year. The title is a new franchise for the company– first of five smartphone apps Nintendo plans to release by March 2017.
