Is ‘Ali vs. Liston’ the greatest sports photo of the century?

For many reasons, Ali was a personal hero of mine. I was honoured to have met him late in his life at during Apple Masters event at Macworld Expo. For me, there is no doubt this is the greatest sports photograph of all time made even more so when you hear the story behind it. Great, consistent photography takes skill but it also takes a measure of luck. Leifer was incredibly lucky to get this shot.

“Distracted pedestrians” is not a thing

The best slow cooker

Why Tim Hortons struggles in the United States

Tim Hortons is a Canadian institution. I love the stat in the video that there is one Starbucks for every 42,000+ Americans, one Dunkin Donuts for every 38,000+ Americans but one Timmies for every 9,800 Canadians. That’s incredible market penetration here in Canada. But their lack of success to even make a dent in the US market is a fascinating study in business failure.

Dear iPhone users: Please don’t forget that a green bubble is a person

Here in the backwater that is Canada, some of us still get charged for every incoming and outgoing text/SMS/”green bubble” message. If you’ve got a child who is an active user of text messages, that can add up quickly and cost real money.
