New iPad arrives in 12 more countries this week

Apple has announced plans to release the new iPad in 12 additional countries this week. The new version of Apple’s popular tablet computer will be released in South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela on Friday, April 20.

What’s more, on the following Friday, April 27, Apple will release the new iPad in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

The new iPad was released in March. It features a high-resolution “retina” display, optional 4G cell data connectivity and an A5X microprocessor with quad-core graphics processing. Like its predecessor, the new iPad starts at $499.
