Avid released an update for Pro Tools 9, adding support for Apple’s recently released OS X Lion.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Pro Tools 9.0.5 is a public beta release for Lion users, but is fully qualified and recommended for Snow Leopard users. In other words, you can use it with Lion, but because it’s beta, don’t put it on a mission critical machine.
The 9.0.5 update requires a previous installation of Pro Tools 9 software and your Pro Tools 9 iLok license.
Avid has a small list of known issues when using the update with Lion, but there doesn’t seem to be anything to major. I installed the beta this morning on a machine running Lion and had no problems at all.
