SecureMac on Monday updated MacScan, the company’s anti-spyware privacy and security software, adding support for Apple’s recently released OS X Lion.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]In addition to Lion support, MacScan 2.9 also enhances protection against the latest threats for Mac OS X, adding usability enhancements and bug fixes. The software is now fully compatible with Safari 5.1, as well.
Of course, being security software, MacScan contains the latest spyware definitions and tracking cookie blacklist. The company also made some user interface tweaks to the latest version.
MacScan 2.9 is available for download immediately to try for 30-days or purchase for $29.99. Upgrades from previous versions of MacScan 2 are free, and can be obtained by either selecting “Check for Updates” under the “MacScan” menu, or by downloading the demo version and entering your serial number.
