Lawyers for Apple and Samsung are in talks to end lawsuits from both companies claiming patent infringement by the other.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]When asked by the judge in the patent litigation if executives for the companies could meet to resolve the dispute, Harold McElhinny, an attorney for Apple, said “they are in fact meeting and talking,” according to FierceWireless. However, Samsung would not acknowledge that talks are taking place.

When asked by FierceWireless to confirm the talks, a spokesman said, “we are unaware of any meetings or discussions between the two sides over this matter.”

Apple and Samsung have a very close relationship, so it makes sense the two would try to resolve the issue without a long drawn out legal battle.
