On June 8, 2009 during the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, I launched The Loop. I’m happy to say that two years later, we’re still going strong.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]It’s been an incredible two years for Peter Cohen and I at The Loop. Traffic has grown by an incredible amount, regular readers comment on stories and tips come from companies and readers alerting us to upcoming news. Most importantly, we’re having a lot of fun.
The Loop is what you could call my third life in the Mac journalism world. Starting with the launch of MacCentral in 1994 and moving to Macworld in 1999 and then finally The Loop in 2009.
The Loop is not a one man effort by any means. Peter Cohen and I have been writing together since MacCentral and The Loop would not be what it is without his input and stories. Peter is as much at the heart of what The Loop is as I am. I owe Peter a lot of credit and my gratitude.
Ed Prasek has also been instrumental in the continued success of The Loop by coming up with new business ideas and looking for the best ways for The Loop to move forward.
All of the content is free on The Loop and that is made possible by our advertisers. I can’t thank them enough for their support — without that revenue, The Loop simply wouldn’t exist. You can see all of the advertisers listed on this page — if you see something you like, click through to purchase and let them know you support The Loop too.
Lastly, I would like to thank you, the readers. We have grown an incredible amount and I appreciate everyone’s support. Retweeting a story, or liking it on Facebook are a big help in getting the word out about The Loop, so each time you do it helps us.
Here’s to another successful year!
Jim
