If you’re Tim Cook, it’s pretty easy to see how the iPad could outsell PCs in the next few years.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]In a meeting with Goldman Sachs analyst Bill Shope, Cook said “he sees no reason why the tablet market shouldn’t eclipse the PC market over the next several years,” according to Business Insider.
In a note to clients on Thursday, Shope said he expects Apple could sell 8.1 million iPads in the June quarter. If true, that’s a 72 percent increase of the year-ago quarter.
Apple is also apparently feeling very confident about iOS. Not a big surprise since they can’t keep enough of the iPad 2 in stock to meet demand and the iPhone and iPod touch continue to sell well.
