What’s even better for Apple is that for the month of March, Mac sales are tracking up 47 percent over last year. Munster said the release of the new MacBook Pros fueled sales in the month.
Sales in January were up 20 percent and up 12 percent in February, according to the data.
Munster expects Apple to report sales of between 3.6 million and 3.7 million Macs for the quarter. Wall Street consensus is about 3.6 million, according to Munster.
Apple will report its fiscal second quarter results on Wednesday.
