New reports suggest Apple is still working hard on its long rumored music locker.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Citing unnamed sources, The Music Void says Apple already has a deal with Warner to allow users to store music in a cloud music locker. Apple is reportedly using that deal to push other labels to come around and sign the deal.
Deals with Universal and EMI are thought to be an almost sure thing, but Sony may cause some problems during the negotiation phase.
The report also suggests that Apple will charge customers $20 a year for the service. It’s not clear if the music locker will be part of MobileMe or if it will be a separate service.
It could also be a service that consumers could purchase for $20 who might not be interested in the full line of services that Apple offers with MobileMe.
