One of the things I was really looking forward to when GarageBand for iPad was released was sharing my songs with the Mac version of the app.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]I tried doing this tonight, but it didn’t work out so well. I was able to export the project on the iPad and save it to my computer, but I got the following error message when I tried to open it.

This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song.

Unfortunately, I am using the latest version of GarageBand. I think Apple will release an update sometime soon to fix the problem.

I don’t recall seeing that in any of the reviews I read on the iPad or GarageBand today.
