There can be no doubt that Apple has a succession plan in place for Steve Jobs’ retirement, whenever that may be.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]However, Apple has kept that plan a secret from the public. A shareholder proposal debated today at the shareholder meeting in Cupertino, Calif. would have forced Apple to reveal its internal plans.
News from the shareholder meeting is starting to filter in and according to World of Apple, the proposal has been defeated. This basically means that Apple can continue on as it has and will not be required to share its plans.
Another proposal that “would allow shareholders to block the election of directors who run unopposed by withholding their votes,” has also been defeated.
