We’ve all seen the funny ways auto-corrected texts have played havoc with people’s conversations, but one strange text didn’t turn out so funny.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]When a man sent his friend a text that contained the word “mutter,” his phone changed the word to “nutter.” According to CNET, a “mutter” is a “mother’s boy” and a “nutter” is an insane person.

The two exchanged texts until the insulted man went to his house, where he was killed. The dead man reportedly had 104 injuries on his body.

It wasn’t reported what brand phone the man was using. The man was charged with murder and convicted of manslaughter.
