HP is getting set to introduce its new iPad competitor, but before it could, the information was leaked by people attending the event.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]The Palm TouchPad as it’s being called will weigh 1.5 pounds and be 13mm thick, according to PreCentral. They were able to get the info by apparently sneaking into the event during preparations.

In comparison, Apple’s iPad weighs-in and 1.5 pounds and is 13.4mm thick.

In addition, Robert Scoble seems to have confirmed that a 10-inch tablet is in the cards today from HP and Palm, as well as “the smallest little phone” he has ever seen.” Scoble is reported to have also said that the phone is “too small to be taken seriously.”
