∞ MacTech Boot Camp set to happen in SF right before Macworld Expo

MacTech Boot Camp 2011 is gearing up to happen in San Francisco, Calif. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 – right as Macworld Expo rolls into town, and in a venue familiar to many MWSF attendees – the Parc 55 Hotel.

The event is focused on providing technical expertise to Mac consultants and others who support home, SOHO and SMB environments in which the Mac is used, or users who aspire to become such a person. Session topics run the gamut from business to technical: marketing yourself, to maintaing customer reationships, how to find the right answers to your questions and managing documentation; using Mac OS X’s Command Line Interface, iOS support, printing setup, scripting, remote support access and more. (A complete session list and information on speakers has been posted).

Attendees who are interested in becoming Apple Certified can take part in a study session and exam the day before, as well.

The price is $495, though MacTech Boot Camp is offering a $100 early bird discount through Tuesday, January 18, 2011. The fee includes lunch. Educational pricing is also available.

Update, Fri. Jan. 14, 2011:

Neil Ticktin, MacTech publisher, sent this e-mail:

ZoneEdit, MacTech’s DNS service provider, was hit with a denial of service (DOS) attack yesterday that for many of you, made the MacTech servers unavailable. ZoneEdit has now restored service to our domains.

As such, we’re extending the pre-registration pricing by a day to Tue, Jan 18 for your readers to save $100 at MacTech Boot Camp SF 2011.

The article has been adjusted accordingly.
