After purchasing about 100 acres of land in Cupertino from HP recently, Apple has reportedly hired one of the world’s most famous architects to build the “City of Apple.”
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Citing sources familiar with the plans, El Economista said Apple has brought on Norman Foster to head up the project. The new Apple campus will be connected through a network of tunnels, according to the report.
Apple’s campus will also feature some innovations Foster conceived for Masdar, Abu Dhabi — a city without cars or carbon emissions. This seems to fit in well with Apple’s attention to the environment over the years with its products and manufacturing.
The project is in the planning stages, so there is no telling how long it would take to finish.
