It’s been widely reported, including here, that Apple has added 12 more patents to its lawsuit against Motorola, but that’s not quite the case.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]What Apple is really trying to do is move 12 patents from the Delaware court to Wisconsin. Apple has amended the Wisconsin complaint to include those in that complaint.

Motorola asked the Delaware court to rule the patents invalid, according to Electronista, which would mean Apple couldn’t use them in court. In attempting to move the patens, Apple also asked the Delaware court to dismiss Motorola’s declaratory judgement on the patents.
