A report on WSJ.com late Monday says Apple’s secret iTunes announcement on Tuesday will be unveiling of the Beatles catalog.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Citing a source familiar with the negotiations, WSJ.com said talks between Apple, Beatles representatives and EMI were taking place as late as last week. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

If Apple’s secret announcement is the Beatles, it would put an end to an ongoing fight between Apple Corps and Apple (Computer) that’s been going on for years.

Apple on Monday posted a note on its website inviting users to visit its website on Tuesday for an announcement “That you’ll never forget.”
