Late last week, Apple activated its Ping social networking service for users of its iPad device.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Ping on the iPad gives you the ability to see your friends activity, the people following you and you profile. You can also “Like” and post a message to your Ping account.

Tapping on a song when on the iPad unveils “Like” and “Post” buttons, so you are able to share your feelings on individual songs as well as albums.

Ping is available automatically on the iPad’s version of iTunes. If you are logged in to your Apple account, you should see Ping on the bottom menu bar.
