∞ Samsung Galaxy Tab: A whole lot of nothing with a 7-inch screen

I’ve seen reviewers pick apart some products in my years of writing about technology, but Gizmodo’s review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab leaves nothing behind but a carcass.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]To say that Gizmodo didn’t like the Galaxy Tab would be a huge understatement. In fact, the only thing they did seem to like is the battery life.

Here are a few choice quotes from the review:

“There is no way to not feel like a total dorkface while typing on this thing.”“The Tab feels like a grab bag of neglect, good intentions and poor execution.”“This thing is just a mess. It’s like a tablet drunkenly hooked up with a phone…”“The browser is miserable, at least when Flash is enabled. It goes catatonic, scrolling is laggy, and it can get laughably bad.”“The Tab is like a compromise’s evil twin, merging the worst of a tablet and the worst of a phone.”

The thing about this review for tablet-makers trying to compete with the iPad is that this is indicative of the type of coverage they can expect.
