Second Gear released a new, free iPhone and iPod touch app on Tuesday, called Shareables. The app makes it easy for users to share URLs with their friends on popular social networking sites.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Shareables uses a bookmarklet installed in Mobile Safari to help you share a favorite story or website you come across while surfing. If you’ve ever tried doing this, you know it’s not the easiest thing to do, but Shareables takes all of the work out of the task.
When you find a URL you want to share, just tap the “Share with Shareables” bookmarklet, the app will launch, shrink the URL and offer you several ways to share the link. Currently the app supports Twitter, Facebook, e-mail and text messages.
Shareables requires iOS 4.0 or higher and is a free app from the App Store.
