Apple on Thursday released an update to iPhoto 9, bringing it to version 9.1 The new release is available for download through the Software Update system preference and through Apple’s Web site.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]iPhoto 9 is bundled as part of iLife ’11, Apple’s recently updated suite of applications including iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD. The software was released in October, introduced by Steve Jobs and company during Apple’s “Back to the Mac” event in Cupertino, Calif. New features in iPhoto 9 include new full-screen views, enhancements to FaceBook, new slideshows, dramatically improved book printing capabilities and support for professionally printed letterpress cards, suitable for announcements and other special occasions.
iLife 9.1 adds support for printing and ordering calendars and introduces additional letterpress holiday card themes, according to Apple. It also “fixes an issue that prevented videos downloaded from MobileMe or Flickr from importing correctly into iPhoto events.”
Apple recommends that all iPhoto 9 users update to the new release.
