Warner Music Group’s Senior Vice President of Digital Legal Affairs, Elliott Peters is leaving to join Apple next month, according to a report on Billboard.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]A memo obtained by Billboard explains Peters accepted a job as Corporate Attorney Director for iTunes Europe and Internet Services, based in Luxembourg. Peters will apparently be managing the European iTunes legal team, including its various stores and MobileMe in Europe.

Peters has been with Warner since 2000. In 2003, he became the company’s first digital lawyer, building the Digital Legal Affairs team.
