Longer song samples are on the way to iTunes, according to a new report late Tuesday.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]An Apple spokesperson confirmed to CNET that iTunes will feature 90 second song samples, up from the current 30 second sample time. There is a slight caveat to the longer song sample.
According to Apple, a song will need to be at least 2 minutes and 30 seconds in order to get the longer song sample. Shorter songs will still have the 30 second sample.
Apple reportedly notified music industry executives about the change on Tuesday.
It appears that no date has been set for the 90 second sample to debut on iTunes.
