Fishlabs has announced the release of Galaxy on Fire 2, the sequel to their outer space shooter and trading simulation for the iPhone and iPod touch. [ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Players once again assume the role of mercenary Keith Maxwell in Galaxy on Fire 2, which pits Terrans, Midorians, Nivellians, and the Vossk in a battle of survival against the Voids, an aggressive alien race that use wormholes to travel. The game lets you follow its plot, carry out missions or go on raids to collect booty, which you can then sell at a profit to outfit your ship with bigger and better equipment and weapons. You can also mine in asteroid belts to make special equipment or trade goods with blueprints.
The game features more than 20 solar systems to explore with 3D animated planets, 100 unique space stations and more than 30 upgradable 3D spaceships, Game Center and OpenFeint integration for support of leaderboards, achievements and online saved games, and more.
