Casual game publisher Telltale Games has announced plans to release Back to the Future: The Game for Mac and PC in December. A version for the iPad and the PlayStation 3 is also planned. The Mac and PC versions are now available for pre-order for $24.95.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Back to the Future: The Game is an adventure game based on the enormously popular series of movies featuring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. The release is timed to coincide with the release of the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc, which comes out on Tuesday, October 26th.
The game features Marty McFly and Doc Brown and is set shortly after the events of the third film. Like Telltale’s other games, Back to the Future: The Game will be an episodic release, spanning five monthly installments. The game is being created in collaboration with Bob Gale, who co-wrote and co-created the original series.
Pre-orders of the game include a free copy of Puzzle Agent, an unusual puzzle-solving game that puts you in the role of a government agent trying to solve a mystery. And for each pre-order, Telltale will donate $1.00 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
