Great news from Universal Audio (UA) today. The company introduced the UAD-2 Quad Omni, the next generation hardware for its plug-in platform.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]UA, in my opinion, makes the best audio plug-ins on the market today. Calling the UAD-2 Quad Omni its “most powerful and flexible processing hardware,” the new PCIe card features four Analog Devices SHARC chips.
The card comes with 50 plug-ins to get you started with your mixing and mastering projects, and a $100 voucher to put towards purchasing other plug-ins. UA emulates some of the most classic analog gear ever made from companies like Manley, Neve, Roland, BOSS, dbx, Empirical Labs, EMT, Fairchild, Harrison, Helios, Little Labs, Pultec, SPL, and Teletronix, among others.
UA’s hardware is compatible with most modern DAWs including Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, and Performer.
The UAD-2 Quad Omni has a list price of $5,625.
