Did you know your MacBook battery should be recalibrated? I didn’t. Apparently Apple recommends you do it, and now there is an app to help you get it done. Watts is a new application from Binary Tricks that helps users calibrate their MacBook batteries. According to the company’s website, calibration should be done “from time to time to keep the onscreen battery time and percent display accurate, and to keep the battery operating at maximum efficiency.”
The application also includes detailed battery information and growl notifications.
Watts requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and an Intel-based MacBook or MacBook Pro. The application costs $6.95.
