Apple says reports earlier today that Steve Jobs was stopped at Japan’s Kansai International Airport with Ninja throwing stars in his luggage are false. “Steve did visit Japan this summer for a vacation in Kyoto, but the incidents described at the airport are pure fiction,” according to an Apple statement on AllThingsD. “Steve had a great time and hopes to visit Japan again soon.”
Kansai airport spokesman, Takeshi Uno, confirmed for Bloomberg that a passenger was stopped in July for trying to take the Ninja throwing stars on a private jet, but declined to confirm that it was Jobs.
