While most of the attention on Apple’s release of iOS 4.0.1 on Thursday is focused on the antenna issue, Apple also fixed other issues like Exchange ActiveSync. Some users running iOS 4 ran into a problem where Exchange ActiveSync Mail, Contacts, or Calendars would not sync or synced slowly. The updated OS fixes that issue for users.
If you previously used a workaround posted on Apple’s Web site, you will need to go profiles and remove it by going to Settings > General > Profile > EAS Default Task Timeout > Remove.
If iOS 4.0.1 isn’t available to you, you can always keep using the workaround from Apple.
