Gibson Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz is connecting with his customers like no other executive in the industry — through an online forum where he will answer customer questions. Gibson setup a special part of its website dedicated to helping customers connect directly with Juszkiewicz. According to Gibson, “the forum will be a venue for serious discussion on topics ranging from guitars to marketing and business ideas.”
“I would love to get suggestions, from how the company works to what products you would like to see from us,” said Juszkiewicz.
As with most online forums, you will need to register in order to ask a question. However, you can read all of the questions and responses from Juszkiewicz without registering.
In fact, there are already some interesting topics on the forum, after being open for only one day, including a discussion about Jimi Hendrix and Gibson. Definitely good stuff.
You can also make product suggestions to Juszkiewicz, detailing guitars you would like Gibson to make.
I’ve had the opportunity to meet Juszkiewicz on numerous occasions over the years, including doing several interviews with him. It’s fascinating talking to someone with so much history in the industry, and he has a lot of knowledge about guitars in general, not just Gibson.
Of course, those that know me and my playing know that the Gibson Les Paul is my favorite electric guitar ever. It’s hard to describe how a Les Paul feels in your hands, but it makes you want to play all the time.
I’ll be heading over to register my account today and maybe get some insight into future Les Paul models.
