Freeverse announced Friday that it has sold more than five million apps for the iPhone. The company now counts 24 games and apps on the App Store, with more planned for 2010.
“The iPhone has changed the way we think about and interact with games, and we want to keep learning and innovating as we strive for the next milestone,” said Ian Lynch Smith, Freeverse president.
Recent iPhone releases include NBA Hotshot, an officially-licensed NBA arcade game similar to the basket-sinking games you find in real-world arcades; Thor, a side-scrolling action game; and Parachute Ninja, a “slinging platformer” featuring tap-activated parachute physics. The company has also announced plans to release Zombie Cannon Carnage, a ragdoll-blasting game planned for release next week.
