Gendai Games has announced the five finalists for the Macworld 2010 GameSalad Challenge. The finalists’ games will be on display at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, February 11 – 13, 2010.
GameSalad is a game creation utility designed to help developers create and publish games for the iPhone, Web and Mac platforms. The software is a visual, drag-and-drop tool that can even work for non-programmers, according to the developers.
For the past five weeks, participants in the GameSalad Challenge have been submitting their games, and a panel of judges picked from the Mac and iPhone game community has reviewed them. Five of the games have made the cut.
The five games picked include “Bork’s Adventure” by Elie Hang, Justin Knapich, and Ben Knapp. “The Cat Rides the Astrobus” by Drew Daycross and Jamie Potter. “Kill the King” by Eastbound Studios. “Stunt Squirrels” by Fire Maple Games, and “Traffic Ninja” by Steve Hoffman.
The winner of this year’s contest will be announced during an award ceremony at the GameSalad booth on Saturday, February 13th.
