I wrote about how I use Capo to help me learn to play songs, back in October . The developer on Monday released an update with a really cool new feature, as well as some fixes for the app. Some of the best features are the simple ones — that’s where this new feature fits. In Capo, you can drop a marker at a specific place in the song, allowing you to easily go back and start playing the song. I’m sure you’ve all done that before — it’s a pain.
With Capo 1.1.4, the marker now draws a line down through the waveform, so now you can see exactly where the marker intersects the music. A handy new addition.
There were a few bug fixes in this version too, including a fix for an issue in the effects panel which caused unnecessary redrawing (and increased CPU usage) while idle; the waveform no longer jitters while zooming the view; and closing a document window now forces in-progress waveform processing to stop immediately.
Capo 1.1.4 can be downloaded from the company’s Web site. For new users it costs $49.
