I mean, the Oculus Rift is cool and all, but the “genius” of it is that all the parts necessary for a VR headset have improved in lightness, price, and fidelity.
The genus move will be keeping Carmack at FB as long as possible. Long enough, anyway, for VR to grow in popularity.
