∞ Apogee releases Symphony I/O Release 4

One of my favorite music hardware companies, Apogee Electronics, released an updated version of its Symphony I/O beta software, adding new features and fixing a few bugs.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]According to Apogee, Symphony I/O Release 4 includes a number of new features including USB Audio Interface Mode, which supports the connection of one Symphony I/O to an Intel based Mac running OS X 10.6.4 or greater. Sixteen channels of bidirectional streaming at a sample rate up to 96kHz are supported. The company noted that when using the USB Audio interface mode, only the Internal clock source setting is available.

Also new in this version is a low latency mixer in standalone and USB audio interface modes; support of 4 Symphony I/Os in Pro Tools HD audio interface mode; and support for the upcoming Mic Pre I/O Module.
