Brent Simmons sold NetNewsWire, one of the most popular RSS readers in the Mac market, to NewsGator a number of years ago, but that’s not the end of the story. Simmons told Ars Technica on Friday that he was behind the initiative to sell the software again to Black Pixel.

In an exclusive interview with Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, Simmons said he’ll have “some more news next week” about what he’ll be doing. Apparently, he won’t be going with NetNewsWire.
