Virtual Programming has announced the release of Home Sheep Home, a new puzzle adventure game for iOS that feature Shaun the Sheep, the adorable ruminant featured in Aardman’s “Wallace and Gromit” animated movies. It’s priced at 99 cents.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Based on a game originally found on the Shaun the Sheep Web site, “Home Sheep Home” follows the adventures of Shaun and his friends Shirley and Timmy as they try to find their way back to the barn. Each sheep has unique abilities which helps them solve puzzles as they make their way through 15 progressively more difficult unlockable levels.

You’ll need to switch between characters and perform tasks to prevent objects from blocking your paths or other events from occurring. Your score is determined by how fast you solve the level; bonus points accrue if you beat the assigned time.

Home Sheep Home supports the OpenFeint social platform so you can share your scores with friends and other players.

Home Sheep Home requires iOS 3.0 or later.

The original Web-based game was nominated for a BAFTA, a prestigious award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
